COME RUN WITH US

Our club motto is "no runner left behind." What you'll find is a fun group of people who just happen to be runners at all levels. Our members range from people who run for fun to serious athletes who compete in marathons like Boston, Chicago and New York. We also have triathletes that join us to build their strength for that all important last leg of the race.

Welcome to the Lakewood Ranch Running Club When We MeetOur club's running groups meet at a variety of times in a variety of locations in Lakewood Ranch, giving you the flexibility to pick the group and time that works best for you. Check out Run With Us for details. How We Support Each OtherRunning LeadsEach running group has a designated running lead, who welcomes new runners and assures that the group has a guide for weekly runs. Running leads are seasoned runners and long-time members of our club, giving you the security of knowing they're someone you can count on.RCAA Certified RunnersWe have an RCAA certified trainer and several members that belong to RCAA who volunteer their time to help other clubs and organizations with races throughout our community. These members are great to ask advise about their experiences on the road and to learn from as you start putting feet to the street.How We Support Our CommunityIf volunteering is important to you, you will be in good company. Our club volunteers its time at a variety of local community events including: running events, local school running programs and fitness fairs around town. We also sposor Boo Run each year. This race raises money for local and national charities chosen by the club. Our Mission StatementTo promote the sport of running and healthy living among all ages and abilities, to organize events for this purpose, to provide guidance for those new to the sport, to provide a welcoming and a genuinely friendly environment to those who chose to join us and give back to the community.

Pick a time to run and check us out by visiting our Run With Us page, where you'll find detailed information about the dates and times of our runs.What's In It For You-A group of people that know how to have fun.-Support in reaching your running and personal fitness goals.-Knowledge and experience of runners at all levels that have been running for years.-Opportunities to volunteer and support the community and local charities.-New friendsSubmit Membership Form and FeesOnce you've checked us out, complete the LWR Membership Form and submit your club dues. Dues are pro-rated for new members to May, when our annual renewal membership drive begins each year. Club dues are $20.00 per year for an individual membership and $25.00 per year per family. Membership includes a Lakewood Ranch Running Club shirt.

Boo Run

Boo Run is our club's charity run. This community event raises money for local and national charities chosen by the club each year. Sponsorship packages are distributed each year in the first quarter and sponsorship deadlines vary based on race details. To learn more about this year's event, visit our Boo Run page.

SaturdaysTime: 6:00am - 8:30 amLocation: Summerfield Community Park Pavilion in Lakewood RanchRun Description: The Pavilion is located about 1/4-mile south of SR70 on Lakewood Ranch Blvd in Summerfield Community Park. The current route winds through Summerfield, Riverwalk, and Country Club neighborhoods. At its longest, the route is 10 to 14 miles. We have water stations throughout the course. At the end, we have water and Gatorade (and sometimes eats - bananas, fruit, cookies, bagels, etc.) and share conversation. Come join us! SaturdaysTime: 7:00am - 8:00am Location: Summerfield Community Park Pavilion in Lakewood Ranch Run Description: The Pavilion is located about 1/4-mile south of SR70 on Lakewood Ranch Blvd in Summerfield Community Park. The current route winds through Summerfield and part of River Club neighborhoods. At its longest, the route is 2-3 miles and we run at a relaxed pace. At the end, we have water and Gatorade (and sometimes eats - bananas, fruit, cookies, bagels, etc.) and share conversation. Come join us!Tuesdays and ThursdaysTime: 6:00am - 7:00 amLocation: Braden River Nature Park in Lakewood Ranch Run Description: Braden River Nature Park is between University Parkway and SR70 on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, approximately 1/4-mile south of the Braden River Bridge. We meet here every Tuesday and run through various parts of Lakewood Ranch. At its longest, the route is about 6-miles. There is water at approximately 2, 4, and 5 miles.Tuesdays and ThursdaysTime: 4:50am - 6:15am Location: Summerfield Community Park Pavilion in Lakewood Ranch Run Description: The Pavilion is located about 1/4-mile south of SR70 on Lakewood Ranch Blvd in Summerfield Community Park. The current route winds through area neighborhoods. The group does 8-9 miles with speed work thrown in.
